Abstract

In this article, the author analyzes Isidore's Chronicon to demonstrate that it is not neutral from the point of view of the narrative, but on the contrary, his disposition and arguments reveal clearly his ideological intention. His author seeks to show the weakness of Byzantium to highlight the greatness of the Visigothic Kingdom, refuge of Catholicism and Romanity.
