Una interpretación estructuralista de la "crisis' actual del capitalismo

Abstract

If we bear in mind the changes that have occurred in the capitalist system since the Second World War, it is easily understood that the instability that is manifested today bears little relation to the cyclical instability of the past. The current situation is different because the foci of instability arise from what we call the new international dimension of the capitalist system. We argue that the growing dependence of central countries on non-renewable resources from the periphery constitutes a fundamental fact to understand the current tensions of the capitalist system.

Celso Furtado

Profesor de la Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Económicas de París. Fue ministro de planificación de Goulart y es autor de numerosas obras entre las que se incluyen: "La economía latinoamericana desde la conquista ibérica hasta la revolución cubana", "Teoría y política del desarrollo económico" y "Análisis del modelo brasileño".
