Latin American Journal of Asian Studies (LAJAS) aims to publish original research and book reviews on Asia from a Latin American perspective, based on open calls. The journal is focused on contributing to understanding of the Asian region, creating an interregional learning space, across different disciplines such as the Social Sciences, Political Science, Economics, History, Anthropology, and International Relations.
As part of its mission to build knowledge and strengthen academic ties between Asia and Latin America, LAJAS will accept articles in both English and Spanish. Articles will be peer-reviewed by an International Editorial Board composed of experts and academics from both regions.
LAJAS is an official publication of the Institute of International Studies, University of Chile, one of the oldest interdisciplinary centers of the region, a leader in research, lecturing, analysis and promotion of the debate on political science, international relations, international law, history, and international economics. The journal follows an open access policy, articles in the journal will be available online for free.
