Abstract

This work aims to contribute to an essential debate for the reconstruction of Argentina: what can be the most appropriate way to achieve the full and active reintegration of the Armed Forces in the democratic society that begins to rebuild itself from the installation of a constitutional regime, in December 1983. For this purpose, this paper examines the principles, values, institutional organization, mission and functions to be assigned to the Armed Forces that could contribute to their effective link with the civil power; in other words, to the democratic, cooperative and solidarity articulation of the civil and military components of Argentine society.
