Abstract

This exhibition is a theoretical approximation of literature about the presence of young people regarding recent past developments in Chile. This research aims to contextualize and discuss the construction of youth representation from the analysis of conceptual frameworks and their link with the historical course over the last decades. It is important to emphasize how there is a (in)visibility of the youth situation after the division that produced the 1973 coup and military dictatorship. Since young people are able to stress the status quo and reposition themselves as agents of their history, especially in light of the recent student demonstrations that have been repositioned in the current citizen scenario.
