Abstract

The impact that political movements and feminist activists have had on the youth generations of our region configures a historical moment in which classic and novel formats of feminist protest coexist and converge. This article analyzes the specificity of the figura del escrache as a feminist tactic that articulates, in a situated and complex manner, experiences and resistances against the continuums of gender-based violence. Considering its political, affective, and performative dimensions, the text situates the political praxis of the escrache within a broader historical-genealogical framework, aiming to position the escrache as part of a trajectory that, yesterday and today, manages to overflow traditional forms of political experimentation and the pathways proposed by classical justice administration, producing concrete effects through its means of appearance and circulation.
